Formed in 1977 the company has a large land bank of mixed use and commercial property sites across Scotland. The commercial development has focused on the industrial / distribution sector, offices, road side uses and hotels. Muir Property Development also works closely with Muir Construction on design to suit developments delivering turnkey solutions for occupiers. The residential land is focused around large scale urban regeneration projects encompassing mixed tenure housing, retail outlets, commercial development and leisure developments. On these projects we work alongside sister company Muir Homes.
Muir Property Development focuses on purchasing and developing strategically located land in Central and Eastern Scotland.
The commercial projects include sites at Glasgow Business Park (Junction 9 of the M8), Eurocentral (Junction 7 of the M8), Queensferry One, Rosyth (Junction 1B of the M90) and Aberdeen Gateway located adjacent to the junction of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route and the A92. We have recently completed a bespoke last mile delivery facility for Amazon on a 19 acre site at Glasgow Business Park and are on site at Eurocentral developing a new 108,000 sq ft industrial facility for Board 24 which is part of the Logson Group.
The residential focused mixed use developments are located at Blairs College on Royal Deeside and Loirston at Cove on the southern side of Aberdeen. Loirston has planning consent for 1,500 homes alongside retail, commercial and road side uses. We also have a number of joint venture partners including Aberdeen City Council, Angus Council and Scarborough Group.
