Muir Construction has undertaken Housing Association contracts throughout Scotland, and our experience continues to grow in both Design Build, negotiation and partnering, proving more than capable of taking on large, fast-track contracts with tight programmes and constraining cost plans.

With these restrictions it is imperative that the whole project team work closely together to achieve targets, and communications and relationships are established that can aid the delivery of goals. This includes sharing the experiences of the team in buildability and procurement challenges and avoiding past pitfalls.

With specialist teams that undertake social housing contracts, we have built over 1,000 units to date in city/town centre environments, in high density residential areas, conservation areas and locations on busy road networks.

Muir have embraced the initiatives of Communities Scotland and Housing Association clients to meet sustainability, renewable energy and environmental efficiency improvements, labour and employment initiatives, while maintaining quality standards and controlling costs.
