A ‘Design Build’ partnering relationship is established with the client, with Muir Construction becoming responsible for procurement and sub-contractors, reducing risk to the client. Key to this is our ability to manage the whole project from identification and purchase suitable sites, through construction and commissioning of the premises.

Muir can identify experienced architects and engineers with whom we have successfully carried out care home development. Alternatively we are more than happy to accept a novated design team.

Muir work closely with the client’s agent to agree rates and prices well in advance of the contract, using our experience from past projects to successfully negotiate contracts and realistic market rates. In this way trust is built, and value for money is achieved for the client.

Muir cover a wide range of development, from single surgeries and care homes, to large scale retirement developments, both private and social, and mixed use development where incorporation of healthcare facilities is a possibility.

Muir can identify locations from third party ownership, or from our extensive land bank that are likely to gain planning permission without undue delay.

Specification provided by the client forms the basis of design, ensuring specific care requirements are met. In this way we ensure the facility meets the needs and aspirations of everyone involved.
