Description: Working closely with specialist consultants and the community Muir produced a Masterplan for the area in competition with 3 other consortia, and we believe it was our hands-on approach with the community, that lead to success. Community consultation continues with public meetings within the village, where any member of the community can come in to ask questions or find out more about the regeneration process and how it could affect them. Regular meetings to discuss housing and wider regeneration issues are attended by representatives of the consortium, community groups and various council departments. We are currently finalising design of the first phase of social housing in the village centre, in close consultation with Historic Scotland, the community and Planning department. With Dysart village centre being a conservation area, particular care must be taken in keeping design in line with the original listed buildings within the village, while providing new, affordable housing for the community. |
